X-treme Gaming: The RAA Back-to-Campus Speaker Series presented alumni who are leading and working at Vicarious Visions, an internationally successful video game development company, April 4 at the Heffner Alumni House. The event provided an opportunity for the more than 250 attendees to learn about the video game industry from the team that brought such games as Doom III, Doc Ock, Crash Bandicoot, and more to life.
Vicarious Visions, formed in 1994 by Karthik Bala ’97 and his brother Guha Bala, has developed five games that have sold more than one million units each. The company employs more than 100 people at its headquarters in the Rensselaer Technology Park.
