Water Treatment and Clean Burning Fuel

testing fuels

Erin Lennox's students designed and constructed a water treatment device. They conducted tests on various household fuels to see which burn cleanest and are most energy efficient. Their next project was to research current water treatment technology and the locations all over the world in desperate need of potable water. Working in small teams, the students used their research and knowledge of science to design and build water treatment devices of their own. Some of these devices were field-tested when Erin continued her research in Peru this summer.
