Biography:

Marie-Pierre Huguet at her deskMarie-Pierre Huguet received her Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University at Albany. A former teacher, she is an instructional designer who, for the past 18 years, has been designing face-to-face, print, computer-based, and Web-based instruction or training for educational institutions and corporations, in Europe and the USA. Throughout her career as an instructional designer, she has been delivering numerous presentations, workshops, seminars, and tutorials on a wide variety of instructional design issues.

In 2001, Marie-Pierre joined Rensselaer's Course Development team. In this capacity, she serves as project leader for course support of distributed education courses, and consultant to faculty on issues of technology integration, blended learning,and instructional design.

Professional areas of interest: instructional design, technology integration, faculty development, blended/hybrid instruction and design, research in educational issues.
