The official language of the workshop is English.

TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION

Helsinki is reached most easily by air.  Access from the airport:  Take an airport bus or a taxi.  Finnair's airport busses have the terminal point at the Helsinki Railway Station (near the centre hotels).  The hotels and Helsinki Univeristy of Technology can be reached by city busses or taxi.  Transportation during the technical visits is provided.

MEALS

Lunches and coffee will be served at Helsinki University of Technology campus area.  They are not sponsored, but the prices are reasonable.
 

POSTER SESSION AND EXHIBITION POSSIBILITY

During the workshop a Poster Session will be organized at the seminar location.  The poster boards (area) will be provided.  There is also an opportunity to present the research, industrial or trade activities and acheivements of You or Your company, institute or university during the workshop.  Participants and organizations who wish to present their posters or exhibitions are kindly requested to contact the Organizing Committee by April 30, 1999.
 

POST WORKSHOP EXCURSION

There is the opportunity to participate in an organized post workshop excursion to Konevitsa monastery in Lake Ladoga, Russia (if enough participants).  The excursion will be organized June 4 - 5, leaving directly from Jämsä after the technical visit portion of the workshop.

The price includes:
 

	bus transportation from Jämsä to Konevitsa to Helsinki
	accomodation in two person rooms in Käkisalmi (very moderate convenience)
	boat to Konevitsa and guide services
	breakfast and one meal per day

The price is about FIM 920 + extra FIM 200 - 300 for those who come outside Finland depending on the visa and invoice expenses.

Evening programmes will be arranged on Tuesday 1 June in Helsinki and Thursday 3 June in Jämsä.
