About the Center


Purpose

One of the fundamental goals in all science is to understand the origins of life on Earth. The Center promotes education and research in all relevant fields of Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences and Astrophysics. The principal investigators are faculty members at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the State University of New York at Albany, located in New York's Capital District. Opportunities for study and research are available to both undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral scientists.
