Current graduate students

Gitakrishnan Ramadurai

Gita is interested in applying mathematical modeling techniques to analyze traffic networks. He is currently developing theoretical and operational models for the next generation of Traveler Guidance Systems (GPS++!). When he is not feverishly putting pencil to paper scribbling equations or huddled over his laptop writing code, he may be found in the racquet ball courts (or tennis courts in Summer) or in the JEC Lounge meditating! Wilfredo F. Yushimito

Wilfredo has a BS and a MS in Industrial Engineering. He has interest in network design problems, facility location, and methodologically in cutting plane methods, column generation and decomposition schemes for optimization problems. He also has some minor interests in Transportation Economics and has been active in research related with Humanitarian Supply Chains and in assessing criticality of transportation infrastructures. Besides research he is a representative of the Graduate Council for which he was massively elected with 2 votes. Webpage: www.rpi.edu/~yushiw

Kien Trung Doan

Kien is a first year MS/PhD student. He obtained his B.S. in Civil Infrastructure in Hanoi Architectural University, Vietnam. He is recipient of the Vietnam Education Foundation Scholarship. Now he is involved in a Park and Ride Project.

Jhael Isa

Jhael is in his first year of MS/PhD in Transportation. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering by the Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), Dominican Republic. He is recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship and he is currently involved in a Park and Ride Project.

Xiaoquan Liu

Liu's received a BS in Civil Engineering by Tshinghua University (China) and is currently in his first year of MS/PhD in Transportation. He is involved in the USDOT Off-Peak Deliveries Project.

Bo Zhang

Bo received his BS and MS in Computer Science in Northeastern University, China. He is a PhD student in Department of Decision Sciences & Engineering Systems. Now he is involved in the Interdisciplinary Hurricane Evacuation Project.

Ashley Corker

Ashley Corker is pursuing her B.S. and M.S. degrees in civil engineering concurrently, through RPI's new co-terminal degree program. For her thesis, she is researching the effect of gas prices on fuel demand and driver behavior.
