The Editorial Board of the Journal of Tribology wishes to thank everyone who has acted as a technical reviewer for the Journal during the past year. The input of peer reviewers is critical, and we hope they will continue to provide timely and critical reviews for the Journal in the coming year.
In order to recognize the critical role played by peer reviewers in the publication process, the ASME Journal of Tribology has for the past several years been giving a Reviewer of the Year Award. This award is given annually to the individual judged by the Editor and the Editorial Board to have given the most outstanding service as a reviewer of ASME Journal of Tribology papers during the previous year. The award consists of a complimentary subscription to the ASME Journal of Tribology for one year.
The reviewer of the year for 2003 (January 2003-December 2003) is Dr. Mihai Arghir, LMS, Universite de Poitiers, France, as announced in the July 2004 issue of the Journal.
