Last updated 31 May 1995.
This is the home page for the TeX Users Group's Technical Working Group
on DVI Driver Implementation and Standardization Issues (TWG-DVI for
short). The mandate of TWG-DVI is:
The major objective shall be to study the issues in the requirements of DVI
drivers imposed by changing needs and technologies, and to make recommendations
for implementation and standardization of such drivers to enhance the
uniformity of their use. Work will include, but not be limited to, the
examination of the use, syntax, and semantics of \special{...}
commands.

Previous Work.
The TWG-DVI is a followup to the previous DVI committee. Joachim Schrod has
maintained an archive of their work at:
ftp://ftp.th-darmstadt.de/pub/tex/driv-standard. These files are also
available over AFS in the directory:
/afs/rpi.edu/home/89/sofkam/tex/DVI/archive, and
here.
The following articles are in archive/papers
(due to TeX/LaTeX2html version skew they are in DVI format only for now):
The following articles are in archive/standards:
The archive/graphics/rogers directory
contains the text of a proposal to TeXHaX.
The DRIV-L correspondence is in
archive/driv-l.

Note: One of my soonest orders of buisness wit this page will be making
all on-line proposals and current practices (including the dvisp
and dvidot specials) available as HTML or DVI files. If anybody
has already done this, please provide pointers.
