I'd Rather be Diving

I first became interested in SCUBA diving after taking an introductory lesson during an adult week at Space Camp in Huntsville, AL. The following winter, I took lessons, and in June, 1993, I became a NAUI Open Water I certified diver. I did my checkout dives in Lake George, NY -- cold water with not much visibility. This summer, I hope to be certified as a NAUI Advanced Diver.

I'm a member of the RPI SCUBA Club. Three of us from the club took a trip to Belize, Central America during Presidents' Day weekend this year -- well, we extended the holiday a bit and made a six-day trip out of it. Lake George was no comparison to the Caribbean -- warm water, great visibility, colorful fish -- I'm ready to go back.
