The RBSA is a campus-wide student-led organization composed of graduate and undergraduate students from the engineering, science and management schools at RPI.

The club goals are:

• Create an awareness of biotechnology among the students and provide them with an exposure to the biotech industry to help them make good career decisions.
• To provide a forum for students to learn from each other’s experiences in co-ops, internships and job experiences.
• Foster interactions between the students themselves and with the biotech industry in the following ways: - invite companies for biotech related product demonstrations; connect and interact with alumni in the industry, increase interactions between and with other student organizations at RPI and other universities

• Encourage interdisciplinary participation in biotechnology seminars and symposia
