The letters are in a simple font, to indicate the single-mindedness with which we approach out goals as students – to learn and constantly improve ourselves.

 

The red and black are the colors of Rensselaer. RSA is in red as this is a Rensselaer Student Association

 

The letter B, stands for Biotechnology and is highlighted in two ways – look (color, bold font) and placement of image.  

 

The B is bold to stand for the boldness with which RPI is approaching the future in biotechnology.

           

The image around B is the crystal structure of the protein hemoglobin, a key protein in the blood that carries

oxygen to the tissues. The image also looks multi-armed and complex, representing the diversity of

biotechnology and its multiple applications in our life.
