Weighing in at seventy-three pounds and four feet long, it is shadowed by my much larger scooter. The little scooter was engineered and constructed two years ago, so I could have another scooter to race my brothers in. Although this scooter is smaller and underpowered than the larger scooter, its two stroke engine compensates for the difference in torque and power. The two stroke has robust power to bring the scooter to its full speed in just a few seconds. Although the larger scooter has a higher top speed, the smaller scooter accelerates quicker. This scooter was built off an old push scooter which we modified by adding a two foot extension and a four horsepower 2-stroke engine. This thing really roars, so watch out if you see me flying down the block. Its streamlined chassis and its lightweight aluminum underbody enables me to get just under two hundred miles to the gallon at a relatively high speed of twenty-six miles per hour. If there could be anything better, after a science project on making biodiesel, we found that with the proper fuel mixing system it could run on biodiesel, a more environmentally friendly fuel.
