LRO Final Assignment

LRO Final Portfolios are Due Dec. 11 by 5pm.
The online portion must be uploaded and accessible and the eletronic document should be put in the drop-box by then to receive credit.

(For final submission, name your document according to the following convention:
firstnamelastinitial_lro_final.doc,Ex. JanF_lro_final.doc)

You should think of your final LRO portfolio as a second final project for this class. You should think of the online "selected portfolio node" as a document you would like to share with potentinal employers.

Learn from the comments you received both from me and your peers at the mid-term. The final portfolio should reflect your consideration and inclusion of the suggestions made at the mid-term.

Remember you are presenting an argument for your development and progression over the five dimensions of learning and our five specific course strands:
1)written expression
2) rhetorical sophistication
3) technology and technical skills
4) Web savvy
5) collaboration

You should present as detailed an account as possible to craft a compelling argument. The essay should be no less than 4 and no more than 6 double-spaced pages in 12 pt. Times New Roman font. The argument should be carefully proofread and rhetorically sophisticated. Remember spelling errors and grammar mistakes will detract from your ethos!

Here is a sample of A level work. Please note that your essays do not have to be this long .

Hints:
• Quote from a wide variety of sources of evidence: papers, drafts, my comments, your comments, discussion wiki posts, email correspondence with me or your peers, observations, comments from consulting sessions at the Center for Communication Practices, instant message transcripts with your peers, really anything that you’ve said or done for, in, or concerning this class.

• Make sure that you include direct quotes in your argument, just as if you were writing an essay for this class, i.e., “As demonstrated in my first response paper when I, ‘…….whatever you did……..’” You may also refer to the assignments or materials specifically, but if you want me to understand the point you’re making, it is best to quote directly!

• They are due Mon. Dec. 11 at 5pm.
