Visorak
This horde of vicious spiderlike creatures is controlled by the Brotherhood of Makuta. They move from island to island, capturing all the Rahi they can overcome and imprisoning them in web cocoons. Most of the Rahi go into a deathlike hibernation. Some of them are injected with Visorak venom, and these emerge from the cocoons mutated into new and horrible forms.
History
Makuta put two of his lieutenants in command of the Visorak, making Sidorak their king and Roodaka their viceroy. The horde fought in many of Makuta's battles, and overran most of the known islands in the Bionicle universe. When Makuta was imprisoned in Metru Nui, his mind reached out to Sidorak and Roodaka, and they lead the Visorak to the deserted City of Legends through underwater chutes. Sidorak set up headquarters in the Coliseum and took possession of the sleeping Matoran. The Visorak were in the process of subduing the Rahi when the Toa Metru returned.
Biography
Vohtarak
These Visorak are fiercely loyal to their king, Sidorak. Though they do not actually have the elemental power of fire, their Rhotuka spinners cause a burning sensation in their target. When Vohtarak make berserk charges, their outer shells become almost impenetrable. This breed particularly enjoys hunting down wild Rahi. The other breeds consider the Vohtarak crazed and cruel.
Boggarak
Boggarak are hunters of aquatic Rahi. When used underwater, their Rhotuka spinners cause their target to absorb water, swell up, and float to the surface, where the Visorak can easily capture it. Out of water, the spinners drain water from their target and turn it to dust. Boggarak can also produce a sonic hum that turns objects into stone or gas. This breed is especially loyal to Roodaka and will do practically anything she commands.
Oohnorak
The Oohnorak have a limited telepathic ability: they can pick a voice out of a victim's memory and use their skill at mimicry to imitate this voice. This talent is usually used to lure the unwary into ambushes. It worked well on the Toa Hordika, who preferred acting to thinking and never suspected that a trusted voice was actually being produced by a Visorak. Oohnorak also carry Rhotuka spinners that numb their targets, effectively paralyzing them.
Roporak
This breed of Visorak carries a spinner that disrupts and drains energy from its target. This can make them difficult to capture. Roporak are also masters of camoflage, able to turn invisible at will. They often use this ability to spy on enemies of the hordes.
Keelerak
These Visorak carry acid venom spinners, which are destructive and painful. Their legs are edged with sharp ridged spines. When a Keelerak spins its body rapidly, it can use the spines to slice through most materials, turning itself into a living buzzsaw. Most Keelerak are discontent with the rule of Sidorak and Roodaka, and some have plotted to overthrow the king and viceroy. These plots always meet with swift and harsh retribution.
Suukorak
Suukorak are able to put themselves into a hibernation-like state. They look dead to the unsuspecting, but they are alert and ready to return to their normal dangerous state if a victim ventures close enough. Suukorak spinners surround their targets with a field of electricity that gradually shrinks. Attempting to pass through the field causes a painful shock. This breed is good at military strategics, and often commands Visorak of other breeds.
Kahgarak
Technically, Kahgarak are not a seventh breed of Visorak, but a larger form of spider. Their spinners trap their targets in a zone of darkness. Anyone hit by a Kahgarak spinner will be unable to sense the outside world. To an observer, the victim seems to have simply disappeared. The zone of darkness can only be escaped if a Kahgarak opens a portal into it. Naturally, the Rahaga regard Kahgarak as very dangerous. Most of them are given the duty of guarding Sidorak's headquarters in the Coliseum.
