The Meneely Bicentennial
Listing of Troy Meneely Bell
Installations
![]()
Included in the Gateway’s collections, compliments of Joe Connors and Edward Kehn, is a ledger book maintained by the Kehns—riggers for the Troy Meneely foundry—indicating permanent Troy Meneely bell installations. This priceless source lists thousands of bells installed all over the world.
Thanks to the Gateway’s selfless and long-suffering volunteer, Jess Brodnax, that ledger is now available in an electronic format. We present it here on the web as an Excel spreadsheet, which is the first format in which it has been produced. It has only recently been finished, and there are doubtless still some errors in it, but it nonetheless provides far more information about the locations of Meneely bells that was heretofore available to the public.
There is a Legend and Index that will help explain the contents, and there is the Ledger itself. WARNING: The Ledger is almost two megabytes long, so it will take quite some time on low-bandwidth connections to retrieve it.
