Biodiesel - Untreated

Plant oils work in diesel engines. Gums tend to form, but there may be ways to prevent or overcome this drawback.

The sap of the copieba tree has received special attention because much can be obtained simply by slashing the tree.

Biodiesel - From fats

Collect spent fats from fast food restaurants, react with strong alkali to convert to esters. My objection to using these oils as motor fuel is that there are usually more exciting and valuable applications for them.

Because glycerol is a byproduct of making biodiesel, a glut of it is anticipated.
