| Support
your Thesis
A thesis
makes a claim, and as such needs to be supported through
- arguments
that are cogent and numerous enough to satisfy the critical reader
- evidence
for these arguments in the form of facts and examples.
After each
draft and during editing, check to be sure your arguments are cogent to
the thesis. If you find your evidence and your arguments are not supporting
the thesis, it may be that you need to redefine the thesis. The best theses
are frequently developed through this reiterative process. |
