The envelope will contain a letter and a ballot for voting on this important decision. Please watch for it in the mail. There will also be open forums in November where you can come and have your questions and concerns addressed. There is a flyer included with this newsletter that highlights programs and services SSFCU offers. CREDIT UNION SECURITY:

A credit union continues to be one of the safest places to save your money! Why? All deposits up to $250,000 are fully insured by the National Credit Union Association (NCUA). The NCUA is an agent of the federal government just like the FDIC. Our credit union is "backed by full faith and credit of the United States Government".

The Board of Directors' reviews our financial standings on a regular basis to invest appropriately. We recently received a good report from our NCUA auditor.

INSURANCE WITH MERRIAM:

Don't forget that we have a new service to our members through a partnership with The Merriam Agency in Schenectady, NY.

Special group rates on personal insurance policies including automobile, homeowners, and renters insurance are now available to members of the credit union.

Additionally, you may choose to have insurance premiums deducted automatically from your credit union account. If you choose to have your insurance premiums automatically deducted, you may save over $72 a year on two policies in installment fees alone!

The Merriam Agency will be available at the credit union office several times throughout the year. They will also be hosting Defensive Driving courses periodically for a reduced cost to credit union members.

For more information regarding these programs or to obtain a free, no obligation quote, please call Brian Pudlo, Program Director, at 518-393-2109 ext. 224. You can also reach Brian by emailing him at brian.pudlo@merriaminsurance.com.
