In May, Rensselaer will break ground for an $80
million center for biotechnology and
interdisciplinary studies.
The center will serve nearly 400 researchers in
such fields as functional tissue engineering, regenerative medicine,
integrated systems biology, bioinformatics, biocatalysis, and
metabolic engineering.
The building is designed by Burt Hill Kosar Rittelmann
of Butler, Pa., and Bohlin Cywinski Jackson of Pittsburgh.
