| Rensselaers Lally School Redefines and Focuses Its Vision
After months of careful research, planning, and development, Rensselaers Lally School has redefined its strategic vision to attract and educate larger numbers of top-notch, tech-savvy entrepreneurial students. Under Dean Denis Fred Simons leadership, the Lally School is concentrating on training innovative business leaders who can enhance the corporate bottom line by facilitating the transformation of ideas into commercially successful products and services.

The Lally School goes beyond teaching the basic business building blocks, Simon explained. Our faculty and staff essentially create a corporate living laboratory through real experiences that foster innovative thinking and behavior.
The Lally School has launched a revamped Web site, created a new e-newsletter, and developed other materials to illustrate the strength of the Lally curriculum. In addition, the school, under the leadership of the dean and a special task force composed of faculty and staff, is engaged in redesigning the MBA curriculum to better prepare students for the knowledge-driven economy of the 21st century. According to Simon, the curriculum empowers graduates to be players in the highly competitive and increasingly global business marketplace.
Lallys new Web site is key to communicating the schools refocused objectives, Simon said. The new Internet home for Lally features pictures and profiles of faculty; separate sections for curricula, research, and current news; a user feedback survey; and an updated graphic look. It also contains a site search engine, a message board for Simon to communicate directly with prospective students, and a link to subscribe to the Lally Schools new e-newsletter.
