EMPAC Groundbreaking on Sept. 19
President Shirley Ann Jackson, Rensselaer trustees and administrators, and community leaders will gather to break ground for the new $141.7 million Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC). The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 19, noon to 1 p.m., at Folsom Library. The Rensselaer community is invited to attend; a reception will follow the ceremony. More
Honoring Achievement: Alumni Hall of Fame To Induct Newest Honorees
Eight new members will be inducted into Rensselaers 2003 Alumni Hall of Fame on Friday, Sept. 19 at a private dinner ceremony at the Heffner Alumni House. They include Howard Isermann 42, sunscreen developer and Rensselaer trustee; Robert Resnick, world-famous physics educator; J. Christopher Jaffe 49, international acoustician; Myles Brand 64, leader in higher education; and Lois Graham 46, leader in engineering education. More
