Redhawk Shuttle Gets High Marks From Passengers
The people have been surveyed and they have spoken,
said Carol Wagar, Rensselaer's parking coordinator: The Redhawk
Shuttle, now in its second official week of service, is A-OK according
to a recent rider survey. Wagar says that the several hundred
passenger responses received so far have been very positive.
The
Parking and Transportation Office has incorporated rider suggestions
and made modifications to the shuttle service.
"We received a number of requests to pick
up and drop off riders at the Stacwyck residence complex behind
Houston Field House so we added that stop," said Wagar. Additionally,
another stop at the Colonie Apartments near Hoosick Street may
be added, she said.

Extra lighting was installed at parking lots along
the route, and more shuttle buses have been scheduled for high-traffic
periods at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. For the further comfort of
riders, rain shelters have been ordered for passengers waiting
at the Field House and JEC-lowbay stops.
