Christopher
Berry has been named director of capital finance and banking.
He will report to Ginny Gregg, vice president for finance. Berry
will be responsible for managing the Institute's capital budgeting
and financing process and coordinating credit relationships with
the banking community. Berry was director and chief adviser to
the New York State Assembly's minority leader and to the Assembly
Minority Conference.
Travis Angevine was recently named director
of investments. Angevine, who assumed his position July 1 and
reports to the vice president for finance, is responsible for
executing investment policy for Rensselaer's endowment, planned
giving, and retirement plan assets. Investments under management
now exceed $1 billion. Angevine joined the Rensselaer staff in
1997 as associate investment officer. "Travis has added depth
to the professional quality of the investment function, which
is especially critical given current financial market conditions
and the 53 percent growth experienced in the endowment this year
alone," said Vice President for Finance Virginia Gregg.
