Accolades

At an annual dinner of the N.Y. Capital Region Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) Oct. 8, Rensselaer won an AMA Mark of Excellence Award for this spring’s Accepted Student Enrollment Campaign. Out of a pool of more than 40 applicants and 12 finalists, the Rensselaer team, comprised of staffers from the offices of Enrollment Management and Communications, was one of just six to receive the honor. The AMA recognized the campaign—which involved acceptance letters, guides, events, a multimedia CD, Web site, streaming video, chat rooms, and a media outreach component—for the unprecedented results it yielded; this year’s accepted class not only achieved record highs in the overall number of students (1,394), but also in the number of women (325), legacies (88), and Rensselaer Medalists (315). 10/20/03
