Professor Tapped To Edit The Journal of Technology
Transfer
Donald Siegel, professor and chair of the department
of economics, has been named editor of The
Journal of Technology Transfer, an interdisciplinary publication
devoted to the implications of sharing knowledge and facilities
in the pursuit of technological innovation. Previously, he served
as an associate editor of the periodical.
The
Journal of Technology Transfer's aim and scope, according
to its Web site, is to "provide an international forum for
the exchange of ideas that inform and enhance the practice of
technology transfer," by running articles, case studies of
successful and unsuccessful activities, and comparative analyses
on the subject. It discusses management practices and strategies
in technology transfer, as well as the external environments that
affect them-including public policy developments, regulatory and
legal issues, and global trends.
"I think there is an excellent fit between
the mission of this journal and the mission of Rensselaer,"
said Siegel.
