James Tien, the Yamada Corporation Professor at Rensselaer, has been awarded the distinction of American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) fellow. Election as a fellow of AAAS is an honor bestowed upon members by their peers.
Tien was chosen for fundamental contributions to the development and application of systems engineering concepts and methodologies. His research interests include systems modeling, public policy, decision analysis, and information systems. More

Flynn Cochran 04 Wins National Scholarship
The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame has selected Rensselaer student-athlete Flynn Cochran 04 to the 2003 National Scholar-Athlete Class.
