The technology, developed by Ram Viswanathan
'02, and Anant Pandey '02, under the guidance of Partha
Dutta, assistant professor of electrical, computer, and
systems engineering, uses wireless sensors in each spot
to determine its availability and relays that information
to a device at the lot's entrance.
The technology was adapted from the students'
summer URP project where they created a "smart"
shopping cart.
The Albany, N.Y., Times
Union profiled ImagenAR and its wireless technology.
The story also appeared in The Cleveland
Plain Dealer.
