Rensselaer at Hartford Receives $15,000 Grant from
UTC
Rensselaer at Hartford has received a $15,000
grant from United Technologies Corporation (UTC) to create
a multimedia classroom. The UTC grant is being used to install
multimedia components to a classroom for enhanced instructor
and student presentations. The grant will support a multimedia
classroom that includes the installation of a multimedia
projector, VHS VCR, screen, documentation camera, and power
amplifier.
“The grant will improve our facilities
and provides faculty with additional resources, which in
turn helps us to better serve our students,” said
Brian Clement, chief information officer, technical and
information services, Rensselaer at Hartford.
The grant provides resources for Rensselaer
at Hartford’s ongoing mission to ensure that graduate
programs and learning technologies are at the cutting edge
and responsive to the community’s changing business
and educational needs. The long-term goal is to provide
all classrooms and labs with the same equipment upgrades
so that there is consistency among the technological resources
throughout the facilities. This seamless integration will
offer improved access to leading-edge educational tools
and the opportunity for enhanced presentations.
