Commencement Rehearsals May 15; Make
Picnic Reservations Online Commencement will be held at 9:30 am on
Saturday, May 18, on Harkness Field. Festive Celebration Picnics immediately
following the ceremony will be held at various sites around the main

Students Form AIGA Chapter Audrey Bennett, assistant professor of
graphics at Rensselaer and a member of the board of directors of the
Upstate New York Chapter of AIGA, founded the group with 23 undergraduate
and graduate student members. Bennett, the faculty adviser for the group,
says she initiated the group as a way of encouraging students to take
the first step in demonstrating a commitment to their professional interest
and assisting them in understanding the broad profession of graphic
design. The Rensselaer group represents the largest

Cisco Certified Network
Associate Program To Be Offered at Hartford Rensselaer and the Rensselaer Learning
Institute (at the Hartford campus) are collaborating in a Cisco Certified
Network Associate (CCNA) Boot Camp Program for working professionals.
The program will be offered over five days during a split session, June
3-5 and 13-14, on the Rensselaer at Hartford campus. The CCNA program has already been given at the Troy campus and produced more than 80 certified professionals. David Kotfila, Rensselaer's Cisco Academy director and a Cisco-certified network professional, developed the dynamic, hands-on course for undergraduate students and is now offering it to working professionals in the Hartford area. 4/29/02
Site Work Begins on South Campus; McCarthy Construction will commence with
minor roadwork on or about May 3, including grading of a new temporary
lot and staging area west of Lot 23. Approximately 10 parking spots
