  Science Fair March 22

Approximately 60 top local high school science students were on campus March 22 for the 13th annual Greater Capital Region Science and Engineering Fair and Science Congress, cosponsored by Rensselaer, the Eastern Section of the Science Teachers Association of New York State, and GE. Several members of the Rensselaer community were involved in planning the event and judging the students’ entries.

Cash prizes funded by the School of Science were awarded for the top three at each level. The top 11th grader is awarded $3,000 per year for four years if the student chooses to attend Rensselaer. This year's scholarship winner was Jennifer D'Ascoli of the Academy of Holy Names Upper (pictured above left). For more information, go to http://www.science.rpi.edu/Science_Fair/.
