Engineers Final Surge Ends

Ice hockey forward Marc Cavosie '03 has been named ECAC
Player of the Year. Cavosie, a junior from Cohoes, N.Y.,
is the league's season leader in goals, assists, and points.
He is one of 10 finalists for the Hobey
Baker Memorial Award, given to the nation's top collegiate
hockey player. Cavosie and the Engineers advanced to ECAC
Championships at Lake Placid where they met defeat by Cornell.
The team took the consolation match with a 4-3 victory over
Clarkson. More

research recently earned a $1 million, four-year grant from
the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to support his study
the hereditary version of Lou Gehrig's Disease (amyotrophic
