Title IX - 30 Years of Opportunity
In a USA Today article, Rensselaer President Shirley
Ann Jackson says that, on its 30th anniversary Title IX
is a vibrant policy offering unprecedented opportunities
for women in science and technology education. She calls

A Two-Way Bridge
Too often we look at those on the other side of the "digital
divide" as poor people who have great needs but little
to give. That attitude, born of ignorance, puts us all at
a disadvantage, says Rensselaer Professor Ron Eglash in
an essay in the Chronicle of Higher Education.
Technologically and culturally, we have
much to learn from the other side, says Eglash, who calls
for a "two-way bridge."
