Heading to Hedley? Take the Shuttle!
A free shuttle bus, known as the "Red
Hawk shuttle," is now operating between campus and
the Hedley Building on River Street, where a large number
of the Institute Advancement staff has been relocated. Anyone
with a Rensselaer ID can ride the shuttle, which is operated
by the Department of Public Safety.

The shuttle bus will leave from the front
of the Hedley Building at 35 minutes past the hour, and
travel to the Heffner Alumni House (45 minutes past the
hour), the Jonsson Engineering Center/Low Center lowbay
area (50 minutes past), Academy Hall (on the hour), and
back to the Alumni House (five minutes past) before returning
to Hedley. The driver's lunch break will begin at 10:50
a.m. after the JEC/CII drop-off; service will resume at
11:35 a.m. with pick-up at Hedley. The last shuttle of the
day will leave Hedley at 3:35 p.m. for campus.
A
second shuttle route will be added in August, to transport
people from Field House parking lots to the main campus.
That schedule is still being developed. A Web
site has been established to provide information and
updates on parking and other issues affected by ongoing
campus construction.
