Center Receives $600,000 in IBM Equipment
Rensselaer's IBM Center for
Broadband Data Transport Science and Technology has received
$600,000 worth of equipment through the IBM Shared University
Research (SUR) Program.
The equipment a combination
of computer hardware and software will be used
to develop a computer cluster and CAD (computer-aided
design) tools. The cluster will include a server to support
the interaction between Rensselaer researchers and IBM
scientists, engineers, and designers. More

WMHT Educational Telecommunications
has announced that it plans to move into the former headquarters
of MapInfo Corporation in the Rensselaer Technology Park
instead of building a new facility as was originally announced
in November 2001. More
