* Out and About: H&SS Convenes Science, Technology & the Environment Conference

Rensselaer hosted a conference on Science, Technology & the Environment Oct. 30, sponsored by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences' Department of Science and Technology Studies and the Office of Institute Diversity. The conference examined the complex issues central to both the scholarly and public understanding of the contemporary environmental movement, including science and technology policy, definitions of sustainability, and environmental justice in pluralistic societies.  David Hess, professor of science and technology studies, organized the event.
