Out and About: Adam Oates '85 Inducted Into Rensselaer Athletics Hall of Fame on "Black Friday" Rensselaer hockey fans packed the Houston Field House on Nov. 5 to honor legendary hockey player Adam Oates '85, as he was inducted into the Rensselaer Athletics Hall of Fame. "Adam Oates Night," honoring arguably the best hockey player in school history who went on to a tremendous career in the National Hockey League, was held on Black Friday, which marks the first ECAC Hockey League home game. The Engineers, wearing special black jerseys, scored five power play goals on their way to a 5-3 victory over Clarkson University.
