Out and About: PANAM Honors Voorhees

Alan Voorhees '47, chairman of the board of Summit Enterprises Inc. and a member of Rensselaer's Alumni Hall of Fame, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award during the opening reception of the XIII Pan-American Conference of Traffic and Transportation Engineering (PANAM XIII) Sept. 26. The award committee noted that Voorhees' long career and shining example has made him a role model for generations of transportation professionals.
