School of Science Launches New Web Site
The School of Science launched its new Web site on Oct. 1. The new site focuses on keeping visitors up to date with news and events on the departments, faculty, students, and alumni.
The School of Science also hopes to attract prospective students and faculty by bringing attention to its world-class facilities and research projects, whether they exist on a department level or in one of the research centers run by the school, according to Sam Wait, associate dean of the School of Science.
"The new School of Science Web site will be a tremendous help to us in both recruitment and communications within the school," said David Spooner, associate dean of the School of Science. "Not only does it present an exciting view of the school to prospective students and the general public, it also creates a timely mechanism for publishing important accomplishments and other information of interest to the entire school. It is a significant step forward for us."
The six departments and the information technology program now have frequently updated news pages on the school site, as well as easy-to-find links to specific information within the departmental sites.
