* Out and About: Rensselaer Celebrates Reunion Weekend June 9-12

Rensselaer welcomed alumni and guests for Reunion 2005 on June 9-12. Events included the "State of the Institute" address by President Shirley Ann Jackson, the Rensselaer Alumni Association Awards dinner and presentation, a new Renaissance Fair, a keynote address by Sean O'Sullivan '85, the Parade of Classes, and a range of other activities, including class dinners, seminars, and city and campus tours.

Izzy Warshaw '23, who at 103 celebrated his 82nd Reunion, led the Parade of Classes in the sweltering heat. Parade participants "wore many hats," represented the "student body," sipped "Shirleytinis" and tried to bribe the judges with ice cream sundaes, sweets, drinks of all kinds, and a "congressional" resolution from the Class of '55. The reunion all-class luncheon was held following the parade. Individual class dinners were held Saturday evening, concluding with a dance for all.
