The Rensselaer student tutors will be on
hand on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second
floor of the Lansingburgh Library, located on the corner
of 114th Street and 4th Avenue.
The initiative is an extension of a federal
work-study program at Rensselaer called America Reads and
America Counts in which students assist teachers in local
school districts with lessons and provide one-on-one help
to those students who need it.
For more information or to become a tutor,
students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to contact Cynthia
Smith at ext. 6864 or teach_out@hotmail.com.
