The RAA Fellows Award was created in the
fall of 1987 to honor those alumni or non-alumni of Rensselaer
who, by their achievements in a chosen profession or endeavor
or by their service to the Institute, have set an example
for Rensselaer men and women to emulate.
Pomeroy received a bachelor’s degree
in management engineering from Rensselaer in 1966 and an
MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania
in 1968.
Pomeroy is founder and CEO of CABLExpress
Technologies, which has sales of over $100 million per year
and employs more than 300 people. The company sells and
supports a wide range of computer networking connectivity
equipment, cabling tools, and test equipment.
Pomeroy has participated in numerous volunteers
roles at Rensselaer, including the Annual Fund, his 35th
Reunion Planning Committee, and as a guest panelist at the
Venture Business Plan Series in 2001. He is a member of
the Heritage Society of Patroons.
