Black Physics Students
Rensselaer hosted the 17th
annual National Conference of Black Physics Students April
3-6. More than 150 African American graduate students from
colleges around the country attended the conference, which
featured tours of campus labs, lectures and workshops with
Rensselaer faculty and nationally known speakers, and research
presentations by the graduate students. President Jackson
delivered the keynote address at the dinner; Cynthia McIntyre,
chief of staff, was a founder of the NCBPS and served on
the 2003 planning committee.
