View the Night Sky at Hirsch Observatory
The Hirsch Observatory on the Rensselaer campus will offer free public observing beginning Wednesday, April 24, and continuing every Wednesday through the end of August. The observatory will open for three hours starting at sunset (approx. 8 to 8:15 p.m. this time of year) if skies are clear or mostly clear. More

Mather, Ament Elected GM, PU

Student government elections were held last week during GM Week. Chris Mather ’03 was elected grand marshal (GM) and Zachary Ament ’03 was elected president of the Union (PU). The grand marshal is the highest elected position in student government. The president of the Union is responsible for managing its $8 million budget. More

 

Coast-to-Coast Electronic Arts Project
Seventeen students from Pam Hollinde's class at the Ark Community Charter School in Troy and from Sarah Hluchan's class at Mills College Children's School in Oakland, Calif., collaborated to draw pictures simultaneously through the Web in a first-of-its kind electronic arts project.
