The Microscopy and Imaging suite is located on the first floor in the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies.
The facility is equipped with a number of state-of-the-art microscopes and flow cytometers. Its mission is to provide service and consultation on microscopy and flow cytometry to both on and off campus investigators.
Instrumentation
Zeiss LSM 510/Meta confocal microscopy systems equipped with an Argon laser (458, 477, 488, 514 nm excitation), Helium-Neon lasers (543 and 633 excitation) and a 405 nm excitation diode laser.
Zeiss LSM510/Meta NLO confocal and multiphoton microscopy system equipped with a Ti:Sapphire femto-second pulsed laser for multiphoton microscopy along with an Argon laser and two Helium-Neon lasers for confocal microscopy.
BD Sciences FACSAria cell sorting system equipped with three air cooled lasers (407, 488 and 633 excitation) for two- and four-way sorting and multicolor ananlysis
BD Sciences LSR II benchtop analyzer equipped with four lasers (405, 488, 633 and 355 nm excitation) for up to 18-color detection.
Asylum Research MFP 3D atomic force microscope with various operation modes such as AC, contact, EFM, force etc.
Scanco Medical Viva CT 40 high speed, high resolution in vivo Micro CT scanner.
GE Typhoon Trio+ 35cm x 43cm confocal flatbed scanner.
Roche LightCycler 480 RT-PCR
