| Proteomics Core Facility
The Proteomics Core is located on the first floor (Room 1346) in the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies.
The facility is equipped with a number of state-of-the-art mass spectrometers and ancillary equipment.
Its mission is to provide service, training and consultation on mass spectrometry to both on and off campus investigators.

Instrumentation
Bruker Ultraflex III MALDI TOF/TOF is ideal for determination of molecular masses of non-volatile molecules in a range from 50 Da to 300,000 Da.
Thermo Electron Finnigan TSQ Quantum Ultra is ideal for determination of masses in complex mixtures and quantitative analyses in a very efficient manner.
Thermo Scientific LTQ ORBITRAP XL is ideal for high-resolution accurate mass measurements and structural characterization of individual compounds and complex mixtures with very high sensitivity.
Shimadzu GC/MS is ideal for analyses of volatile low-molecular weight compounds by electron ionization and chemical ionization, mixtures, and quantitative analyses.
