Center for Biotechnology and
Interdisciplinary Studies Hotel Space Policy
- Request for hotel space must be made in writing to Center Director (see space policy)
- Hotel space assigned by the Center Director
- Space available for individuals, visitors, groups of faculty
- Faculty using hotel space must be members of CBIS
- Visitors using CBIS space must have an active Rensselaer ID card and RIN
- Space is shared by multiple users
- Assigned up to one year
- May be renewable if space is available
- Hotel space not intended for long-term use
- Offices must be completely vacated at the end of each day
- Lab space must be cleaned after use, and chemicals and reagents disposed of appropriately and keys returned
- Access to Hotel space can be withdrawn by the CBIS Director if CBIS policy is violated
- To access to laboratory hotel space researchers must take BioSafety and Laboratory Safety training and all required safety procedures must be followed
- Access to space, card activation and keys can be obtained by contacting Nancy Roberts of CBIS administration (robern2@rpi.edu)
NanoBio Hotel Space Occupancy Policy
- PI must be a member of the CBIS and also of the Rensselaer Nanotechnology Center
- PI/students must be working on a NanoBio project
- Title of project must be NanoBio related and submitted prior to access card activation
- PI must pay for the use of Core equipment
- All users must follow general rules of hotel space policy (above)
- To access hotel space simply contact Nancy Roberts of CBIS administration (robern2@rpi.edu)
Tissue Engineering Hotel Space Occupancy Policy
- PI must be a member of the CBIS
- PI/students must be working on a tissue engineering project
- Title of project must be tissue engineering related and submitted prior to access card activation
- PI must pay for the use of Core equipment
- All users must follow general rules of hotel space policy
