Frank E. Ross III
Vice President, Student Life
The vice president for student life is responsible for providing the strategic direction, vision, and leadership for the Division of Student Life. As the chief student life officer of Rensselaer, Ross assumes the oversight, coordination, and management of all student programs at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute including the Archer Center for Student Leadership, Center for Career and Professional Development, Chaplain’s Office, Dean of Students Office, Office of the Student Experience, Office of the Registrar, Rensselaer Union, Residence Life programs, Student Health Services Center, and Athletics.
Prior to joining Rensselaer, Ross served as vice president for student affairs at Northeastern Illinois University. Previously, he served as associate provost for student success and dean of students at University of North Texas at Dallas, and as assistant vice chancellor for student life at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.
Ross earned a doctorate from Indiana University, a master of arts in education degree from Western Kentucky University, and a master of arts and bachelor of science degrees from Ball State University.
