Thomas N. Iovino ’73

Thomas Iovino, a native Long Islander, graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1973 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering followed by a master's in Civil Engineering in 1974. While at Rensselaer, his contracting career started when he “worked summers” at J. D. Posillico, Inc. He joined their staff full-time upon graduation. In 19777, Tom moved on to Nanco Construction, Inc. where he rose to General Manager and earned his Professional Engineering license. Tom began his own contracting company in 1983, known as Judlau Contracting, Inc. He has seen that dream go to $350 million in revenues in 2008.
Iovino was an active volunteer in his community as well as a weekly volunteer at Huntington Hospital for 20 years. In 1993, he joined the Family Service League Board and served as President of the Board. He serves as an Associate Trustee at North Shore/Long Island Jewish Hospital. In December 2003, he joined the Board of Trustees of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
