50 Year Club News
50 Year Club News

The 50 Year Club awarded three cash prizes and plaques to members of the Red & White Club in April for their outstanding service to the RPI community, especially as it related to alumni and visitors to the campus. In this, our fourth year of such awards, the recipients were: first place - Meghan Lenihan; second place - Rebecca Blank; and third place - Elizabeth Brule. Following the awards luncheon, both the 50 Year and Red & White club members were given a tour of the new East Campus Athletic Village, which is scheduled to open in September 2009.

All members of classes who have had their 50th Reunion are automatically members of the 50 Year Club and receive a special 50 Year Club pin. The club is looking forward to members of both the Class of ’58 and the Class of ’59 becoming “active” members for a one-time dues payment of $50, which will help support such activities as the student awards, member inductions and mailings, and the 50 Year Display Case in the Student Union, which is updated each year with memorabilia related to the 50th Reunion Class.

Dues can be sent to the treasurer, Robert DeSio ’51, 25 Collins Terrace, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866-1000; (518) 587-8677; desio@alum.rpi.edu
