Rensselaer recently hosted a group of 7th and 8th graders for a one week program dedicated to the field of forensic science.
Through hands-on laboratory exercises, field trips, and a guest speaker from the Albany Crime Lab, students learned the science behind crime scene investigations.
The group collected and analyzed soil, hair, fiber, glass and impression evidence as part of their crime-solving activities.
The program was funded by a special grant from the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation.
